The Queensland Branch of the IHEA invites you to help them celebrate 60 years of IHEA national conferences from 9-12 September 2009 at the Gold Coast International Hotel, Gold Coast, Queensland with the theme being Future Beginnings.

What's New?

  • AIRAH is running a conference on the practical delivery of green buildings on 15 - 16 July, 2009 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre - “a national conference that will examine the practicalities of designing, building and fitting out buildings in an era when building green is increasingly becoming the default setting”. Further information is available here.
  • Presentations from Vic/Tas Branch's second professional development seminar for the year Asset Management & Energy Efficiency held on 12 June are now available from the Events page.
  • The forms Notices to Interrupt Services and Isolation Permit and a Template Room Data Sheet are now available from the Document Repository in the Members' Section.
  • AIRAH's next Melbourne Forum topic Re-Lifing Pre-Loved Buildings will be held on 30 June 2009. Further details available from Melbourne Forum
  • During July, AIRAH will be running five courses in The Essentials of Air Conditioning series on Psychrometric Theory; Psychometric Processes; Air Filters; Fans; and Duct Sizing. They will run over 2 days in each of Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Further details in the Events section.
  • A variety of professional development seminars are being offered by Informa Conferences, and can be viewed from the  Events section.
  • A sample electrical services contract can be downloaded from the Document Repository in the Members' section.
  • Presentations from the IHEA 59th National Conference are now available from the Document Repository in the Members' Section.
  • The Victorian State Government is undertaking free assessments on the water efficiency of cooling towers (delivered through AIRAH). By participating, you will also assist in the development of industry standards and benchmarks, to drive water savings across the sector. If you have any buildings within your organisation that you would like to submit for an assessment.
